When you create a SmartSchool OS account, we collect your name, email address, school name, and role. When you use the platform, we collect usage data such as pages visited, features used, and performance metrics. We use collected information to: provide and maintain the SmartSchool OS platform; personalise your experience and deliver relevant features; process transactions and manage billing; send system notifications and important updates; improve our services through usage analytics; detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2+ and at rest using AES-256 encryption. We store data in secure, access-controlled cloud infrastructure. SmartSchool OS is designed for use by school administrators, teachers, and parents. Student data is managed by the school and subject to the school's own data protection policies. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without parental or school consent.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or through the platform. Continued use of SmartSchool OS after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
